Ant Poison
Most of us have ant problems in out house. Their favorite place to invade is the kitchen counter and the window sills. They just don’t seem to go off, no matter what you put on them. I am sure you must have tried the popular boric acid or numerous other ant poisons that we get in the market today.
But all these toxics don’t seem to affect the ants much. They will disburse off for some time and seem to come back in a day or two. Seeing a trail of ants; especially the red ones on your kitchen counter is very annoying. You feel disgusted to cook or even stand there with the fear of them crawling over your clothes or even under them.
It is amazing how many home remedies have helped in getting rid of house pests like cockroaches, lizards and ants. One of the most effective home remedy for ant poison is Aspartame. Yes, aspartame; the NutraSweet Sweetener.
According to my research, Aspartame was originally developed for the purpose of killing ants. Your very own NutraSweet was indeed developed as ant poison. But that doesn’t mean it’s harmful to humans. It’s just that the manufacturers realized that they could hack up a huge profit if this was used as Sweeteners. They are non-poisonous to humans so you can safely use them.
All you need to do is dump a packet of Aspartame in the corners of your house and you’ll be surprised to see that those ants would disappear for the next 9 to 12 months. You should follow the same procedure once they show up again. Aspartame is the best ant poison for carpenter ants.
Another weird but effective home remedy to get rid of ants is baby powder. Now I am sure you are already rolling your eyes but believe me baby powder is another ant poison that works wonders. You just have to sprinkle the baby powder on the ants and on the place where they are coming from.
They will disburse off and won’t come back for quite some time. You can then dust the powder off and still find no trails of ants.
Another remedy to rid ants is vinegar. Fill up plain white vinegar or a mixture of water and apple cider vinegar in a squirt bottle and spray it anywhere you see ants. Let it dry. You won’t see ants in places where you’ve sprayed vinegar.
The best thing about these ant poison remedies is that all of them are non-toxic and is safe to use them near your children or pets. So try some of these remedies out; you are sure to get positive results for your ant problem.
